Not really a dive . . .
We weren’t the only ones in the “dive bar” who had heard about the Pie Dive Bar in Snohomish On Evening Magazine the day before. Like us others were lured in by the one of a kind cocktails and the great looking pies. We also had the excuse of just having ridden our bikes a few miles on the Centennial Trail, so we really could treat ourselves to this!
The day was extra hot and we were tired from the bike ride and even more tired trying to find a parking spot in Snohomish. So we straggled in and took a seat extra wilted. Good thing it is a “dive” because we were in our bicycle duds. Fortunately there was plenty of water on the table and a few fans to help the heat.
What perked us up was a piece of pie and a cocktail. The Pie Dive Bar serves really delicious pies, and I’m saying this as a pie maker who comes from a family of pie makers. Robin had the chocolate cream and I had strawberry rhubarb with a streusel toping. They both were served with a pretty big scoop of ice cream. The Pie Dive Bar makes their own vodka infusions, so be prepared for a very creative drink, like the Spicey Paloma (jalapeno infused tequila, grapefruit, simple soda) and the Black Rose (rosemary infused vodka with blackberry liquor and lime). Both were very tasty with a fresh, natural taste.
We’ll be back for another bike ride and a stop at Pie Dive Bar for sure.
